Not only that, but the smartphone also comes with different battery size options, each taken supported by its own fast charger and charging capacity. Equipped with an Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (5nm) processor and a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED FHD+ display, the new smartphone has already made a name for itself in the Indian market. We’ve finally had a chance to test the performance of the device upside down and we’re excited to share our findings with you all. Here is the brand new OnePlus 10R 5G review that you must pass if you are thinking of buying.

The OnePlus 10R 5G comes in a chunky red rectangular box. The brand also sends its standard range of goodies along with this one. The smartphone comes in two different battery varieties, one with 4,500 mAh and the other with 5,000 mAh capacity. It is available in two colors, Sierra Black and Forest Green. We got our hands on its Sierra Black model with a battery capacity of 4500 mAh.

The model comes with a SuperVOOC 150W fast charger, a USB Type-C cable, a quick start guide, a welcome letter, a safety information booklet, some stickers Cool OnePlus, a body-colored rubber case, a SIM card eject tool. , and a Red Cable Club membership card.

By lifting the lid of the box, you will come face to face with its glossy black screen, equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The size of the display screen is 6.7 inches, with a ratio screen / 87.6% body. Flip the phone over and its matte black plastic back design will put a smile on your face. The triple camera system as well as the flashlight rest on an elegant black glass support. If you look at it upside down, it looks like the open mouth face emoji.

Thin glossy black stripes extending the length of the stand take up half the width of the smartphone. The remaining half of the back flaunts its sheen in the most subtle and elegant way. The OnePlus branding on the bottom completes the overall look in style.

The chassis of the OnePlus 10R 5G also has a little surprise in store for you. Instead of being curved like you see in most smartphones, it’s wide and flat. It comes in body color with the same matte finish and soft shimmer as on its back. The power button sits on the right side while the left side has been reserved for separate top and bottom volume buttons. At the bottom is the SIM card tray, a USB Type-C port and one of the two speakers for its stereo sound system.

When you bring the phone to life, its 120Hz Fluid AMOLED FHD+ display lights up, and so does your excitement level. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 394ppi. The colors of the smartphone interface are bright and, together with the contrast, catch the eye. However, when taken in direct sunlight, brightness levels should be set to at least 70% for the screen to be fully readable. But when set to 100%, the brightness beats even the harshest sunlight and makes the screen viewable effortlessly.

The Youtube video streaming experience was extremely vivid and realistic. Streaming quality can be enhanced up to 2160p at 60 fps rate. Image clarity is crystal clear and almost makes you forget about the presence of the glass screen in between. The vibrant colors are quite pleasing to the eye. The stereo audio output makes the experience even more cinematic. The volume and sharpness of the sound are also commendable. Unfortunately, for watching movies and TV series, the OnePlus 10R 5G does not support Netflix (again very strange). Even if the app is installed directly from the Netflix website instead of the Play Store, it still won’t work.

Gaming experience on OnePlus 10R 5G

The gaming experience on the smartphone was also a delight. The device was tested by playing Asphalt 9 Legends on it. The game graphics look very dynamic and colorful. The touch experience is smooth and the touch response is lag-free. The visuals as well as sound quality along with smooth and fast touch controls provide users with the most enjoyable mobile gaming experience.

Overall, the design of the OnePlus 10R 5G manages to win you over. Style and elegance shimmer from every angle of her body. The display of the smartphone is also quite appreciable.

OnePlus 10R 5G review: performance and cameras

Elaborating further on the OnePlus 10R 5G specs, as noted, it comes with 8GB/12GB RAM options coupled with 128GB/256GB internal memory. The phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset (5 nm) as well as an Octa-core processor. It supports nano dual SIM but without SD card slot. It also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and 5G connectivity. It also comes with an optical fingerprint sensor under the display.

The phone comes pre-installed with Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1. The smartphone’s 4500mAh battery supports 150W SuperVOOC fast charging and can be fully charged in less than half an hour. Battery life is also decent and can last up to more than a day with light to moderate usage.

Home screen and app drawer

The system’s home screen and app drawer are standard, as seen in recent OnePlus smartphone models. The interface is quite simple to use. It’s easy to get used to the icons, their size, layout, look and feel. In the app drawer, apps are sorted alphabetically. No crashes were observed when using multiple apps on the smartphone. Switching between different app windows was also smooth. Also, the device doesn’t seem to heat up easily with continuous use.

OnePlus 10R 5G Camera

As for the OnePlus 10R 5G camera review, the device comes with a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera system along with a 16MP front camera. There are 3 zoom modes offered, 0.6x zoom, 1x and 2x zoom. The zoom mode options only work with the rear camera. The 0.6x ultra-wide zoom mode works fine, although captures are a bit lacking in sharpness. 1x zoom quality is maintained exactly as it is via 2x zoom, with no compromise in detail capture or color quality. Image clarity is also crisp and deserves applause.

OnePlus 10R 5G Photo-Mode-Vs-Night-Mode

Rear camera recordings can be made in up to 4k resolution with a frame rate of 30 frames per second. With the front camera, recordings can be made up to 1080p at a frame rate of 30 fps. The clarity of videos taken from the rear camera is excellent and the colors are full of contrast. Front camera recordings are of even better quality. The details are very well captured while the complexion is quite close to reality. The rear camera’s Night mode subtly illuminates the capture when taken in low light conditions. However, the results tend to reflect a slight greenish tint in them.

Photo mode versus portrait mode

The rear camera’s Photo mode seems to work even better than Portrait mode. The colors in the photo have a pop element and the clarity is stunning. Images captured from the 50MP mode are even more vivid and have improved quality.
