The year 2021 is ending with big releases and foldable handsets. Lenovo CEO Chen Jin has confirmed that a new Motorola Razr foldable device is coming soon. Work on the foldable device has already started.
Let’s take a look at the history of Motorola’s past attempts at folding devices. Star pivot technology, independently developed by the Lenovo Research Institute, was the only wrinkle-free hinge technology in the world put into mass production at this time. In 2019, the first generation of Motorola’s Razr was released. For the fingerprint recognition sensor, it had a raised bottom, a single rear camera, and a secondary display on the back. It was equipped with a Snapdragon 710 chip with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with a battery capacity of 2510 mAh.
When the Razr 5G launched in late 2020, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was the competition and Z Flip managed to steal the show. The Z Flip till date is still very popular. At present, the competition for the new foldable Motorola Razr is still very stiff with the release of the launch of the HUAWEI P50 Pocket.
According to Chen Jin, the new Razr phone is said to have more power, a modified interface, and a much better and more pleasing appearance. Chips are more advanced chip arithmetic, with a better human-machine interface and, of course, a more atmospheric appearance.
We will be the first to bring this product to the Chinese market.
said Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile phone business in China.
Regarding the launch plan, the executive said it would be launched in the Chinese market first. Expectations for the new Razr are too high, but let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope it delivers.
